Preparing for a procedure
Dr. Goyal will give you specific pre-procedure instructions at your consultation. General guidelines:
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen and blood thinners for 7 days before any procedure (unless prescribed for a medical condition — discuss with Dr. Goyal)
- Do not smoke for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after any surgical procedure
- Arrange transport home after any procedure performed under sedation or anaesthesia
- Fast from midnight the night before any procedure under general anaesthesia
